The Trio Experience

A Welcoming Community

Trio Danceworks has a warm and welcoming community. We believe that dance is for everyone. Many of our students start before they even enter school and dance though to their high-school graduation. We try to foster every student’s potential through supportive teaching.

We provide leadership opportunities for senior students to assist in junior classes. We (the directors) all grew up dancing together at the Linda Jamieson School of Dance, before acting as assistants, and teachers.

A Connected Community

Trio Danceworks works hard to keep students connected with the broader dance community. We host materclasses by professional dancers throughout the year and we bring in leading choreographers to teach the latest techniques in our summer intensive dance camp. We also provide students to take exams with the Royal Academy of Dance, which are widely recognized by dance companies.

As a pre-professional dance company, we are committed to ensuring our graduates have the skills and connections needed to pursue professional careers in dance. These connections also help us to keep our dance and teaching techniques up to date.

Competitive Team

We take pride in supporting our strong competitive team, including providing opportunities to work with great choreographers, opening our studio for students to rehearse, and going above and beyond to help polish student’s performances.

The Nutcracker

We grew up performing in the Nutcracker ballet every Christmas, and we’re thrilled to be able to continue this 26 year tradition for our students. All our students have the opportunity to perform in our dance productions, including our annual Nutcracker ballet (ages 6+) and our end of year showcase performance.
