Our hip hop dance classes offer a dynamic and engaging experience for students of all levels. Our classes are designed to teach students fundamental hip hop dance techniques while also allowing them to express themselves with their own style and creativity. Our experienced and knowledgeable instructors provide a supportive and fun environment that encourages students to challenge themselves and explore new movement. With a focus on musicality, rhythm, and body control, students will learn to interpret and respond to hip hop music through a wide range of styles. Our classes are suitable for anyone interested in learning a new skill, building confidence, and having fun. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, our hip hop dance classes are sure to inspire and energize you.

Our Hip Hop Teacher

Zomi Tombing who will be Trio’s Hip Hop teacher for the 2023-2024 dance season. 

Zomi (she/her) is an artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia, who nurtured her passion for dance, choreography, and teaching at House of Eights Dance Studio for several years. Since deciding to pursue movement, she has had the opportunity to perform and create for numerous events, showcases, music videos, and performance videos. She has had the pleasure of growing her individual style within various genres such as Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Commercial Dance. In her choreographic works, Zomi values musicality, performance, authenticity, and exploration.

Currently residing in Ottawa, Ontario, Zomi is a member of PNL Dance Co., a team of diverse artists from Ottawa and Montréal. She invests her training in the Street Dance community and its many forms, with a drive for Hip Hop, Choreography, Freestyle, and knowledge. She is a humble guest and a lifelong learner, and hopes her passion inspires others in any space she steps into.

Junior Hip Hop

Junior Hip Hop is for students ages 5-9.

Teen Hip Hop

Teen Hip Hop is for students ages 10-13

Senior Hip Hop

Senior Hip Hop is for students ages 14-18.

Joining our Studio

New students of all ages are welcome. New students can attend two sessions before they need to register, and receive a 12.5% discount on their tuition. Please contact us by phone or e-mail so that we can help you find the classes that are right for you or your child.

You can also register online using the button below. Note that this portal will allow you to register for all classes open to your child based on their age, but students usually only register for one level of classes.
