The Nutcracker

The Nutcracker is a magical story that follows Clara, a young girl whose Christmas Eve comes to life after she receives a special Nutcracker doll. As the clock strikes midnight, Clara finds herself in a magical world where her Nutcracker battles a Rat King. Her adventure continues through the Land of Snow and into the enchanting Kingdom of Sweets.

A timeless classic filled with magic, adventure, beautiful music and unforgettable dancing. The Nutcracker is a wonderful introduction to the world of classical ballet.

All our ballet students in the Mini, Junior and Teen programs are eligible to participate. Our students appreciate the opportunity to participate in a professional-quality full-length ballet, and opportunity not available at other ballet studios. 

The Linda Jamieson School of Dance staged annual productions of this ballet for the last 25 years. The tradition now continues under Trio Danceworks, with the same teachers, student culture, choreography, set and costumes that create the performance that Ottawa has grown to love.
